First Things First: A Choice God Requires Each of Us to Make – Spend Eternity with Him or in Hell

According to Guinness World Records, the Bible is the best selling book of all time. It is God’s writings for us to know Him and then enter into a loving relationship with Him. It is His Truth, including His promises, for man. It is what He wants us to know about Him and also ourselves, how we came to be, what our purpose is for being here, and what our eternal destiny will be depending upon our choice of how we respond to His revelation of Himself to each of us. The Bible is the most well-supported historic document in existence in terms of its preserved accuracy based on thousands of copies over thousands of years old. Won’t your read it? You can trust its truthfulness.

God reveals Himself in His creation to all of us so that we are all without an excuse and each of us must make our choice concerning Him (Romans 1:20).  If we seek God and sincerely choose in our heart to receive and follow Him as our Lord and only Savior for our sins,  He will send us His Holy Spirit to live in us and enable us to love and follow Him from that point and forever. Following God/Jesus means us doing now what He did on earth (follow Him, as all disciples have since biblical times), including miracles, healing, etc. to confirm God is with us and the Gospel we share is from God. It is an amazing life with God beginning at our point of salvation! We also experience God’s love which results in joy and peace in this life and for eternity. Salvation is not just a “ticket to heaven after we die, but a restoration by God of ourselves to the relationship we had with Him before Adam and Eve ate the forbidden fruit. If a person rejects His free gift of salvation/restoration from their sins, they will be condemned for their sins at His coming judgment and they will spend eternity tormented in hell (Matthew 13:41-42). Even a choice to ignore God is a choice in itself, and will result in that person spending eternity in hell.

So everyone makes a choice. I pray you choose to follow Jesus, the Son of God. To do this:

  1. Sincerely admit you are a sinner (Romans 3:23).
  2. Understand that God loves you and offers each of us the gift of eternal life freely if we will accept it (John 3:16). It’s a gift we don’t deserve and can never earn  (Romans 6:23, Ephesians 2:8-9).
  3. To receive Jesus, call on Him by confessing Him as the Lord of your life and ask Him to save you from your sins. Then accept God’s forgiveness He offers through the sacrifice of His Son on the cross in your place to pay for your sins. Believe in your heart God raised Jesus from the dead after three days, which means Jesus’s sacrifice of Himself was sufficient to pay for all your sins (past, present, future) and that Jesus (the Son of God) proved His victory over sin and death (Romans 10:10-13), meaning we can trust we will also live eternally with Him beginning now!
  4. Now enjoy your salvation by seeing Him work in your life as you commune with God through prayer, read the Bible, fellowship in a Bible-believing church, and serve God, including supernaturally through His power working through you. It’s a life long process in which He loves, walks with, and teaches you until He takes you home to eternity, and it is full of amazing joy. May God richly bless you.

This is the most important decision you will ever make. It is a decision for an abundant life with and in the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ beginning at the point of salvation (now) and for all eternity when you make the decision to receive Him (John 10:10, Acts 2:32-33).  Please, please call on Him now. You never know how long you have to do this.
